Halloween..

Better late than never! Right?!? We had an awesome Halloween this year! Jake and I dressed up quite a few times for parties, crossfit, and with the kids for trick or treating.

Our costumes this year consisted of DJ Lance, Foofa, M.C. Hammer and side chic, Disco who knows what, Ice cream Cone, Peacock, Superman, and a cute little cow!

October

The month of October was a fun one.  We went to my dads cabin in Island Park and went to Bear World and West Yellowstone National Park.

6 years ago today...

Six years ago today I lost a very important person in my life....my maternal grandmother.  I miss her dearly and not a day goes by that I dont think of her and her influence on my life.  I can still hear her calling me emy, I can still remember the smell of her house, the smile on her face, the softness of her hands, and the listening ear and helpful non-judgmental words of advice. She is the reason our family is close and strong....I miss you Bubba!

Today I have been feeling all kinds of emotions for Vetrans Day...my brother recently joined the Army. I am so proud of his enthusiasm and willingness to serve our country as I know I wouldn't have the same feelings.  I have fear, joy, and pride all at the same time. I am so honored to say that he is my brother and that he is willing to put his life on the line to save ours and to serve our country.  I am thankful for all of those who serve our country for our freedom.
