Poor Little Guy

Poor little guy was sick all night. He wins out of who got to keep mom and dad up the longest. Finally with nobody sleeping except for the girls I took him to the ER at 6:00 in the morning yes I said 6:00! He didn't sleep all night so therefore neither did I. Sometimes its not good knowing all that you do when you're a nurse because all you can do is think of all the horrible things that could possible be wrong. All night I was stressed and worried he would just toss and turn an moan and he had a horrible fever that I couldn't get to break.........as it turns out he just has some nasty virus. Hopefully its a quick one for his sake!

School Bus Drama

Okay so I knew that having girls would bring extra drama into my life........but, I never dreamed it would be this bad. I HATE THE SCHOOL BUS! It is so convenient but, convience isn't always good. Olivia comes home every day with a new story and every morning asks me if I will please come pick her up. On the days that I can I do but, I don't want her to think that I can save her from everything....so what do you do. I know she can be emotional but some kids are just flat out mean......I tend to wonder if their parents have any idea of how their child acts while away from them and if they do if they even care. I get to help in Olivias kindergarten class and it is amazing to me to see the way some of these children act. WOW is all I can say. I am the first to say my child is by no means perfect but, some behaviors of other children is really scary to me.

Ezra is 5 months old

How did this happen? It is so not fair. It takes so long for babies to get here and then they grow up way too fast! This little guy is such a stud. I tell my husband every night while I'm putting Ezra in bed how I'm so in love with him. He cries when I walk away, he smiles whenever I pick him up, he grabs and eats his toes, he tries to put his binki in his mouth, he loves bathtime and splashes like crazy, he likes to taste whatever you're eating, he has the cutest little crooked smile, he rolls, he giggles whenever I tickle him, he is so happy to just be wherever we are, he coos when he sees someone coming to talk to him, he loves his older sisters and loves dancing to their loud music with them, he is always smiling, he arches his back whenever you put him in his car seat...poor guy is stuck in it quite a bit but he's such a trooper, he loves to snuggle me, he sucks on my face and kisses me, and he falls sound asleep while getting his picture taken, oh I could just go on forever! We love you little Ezra!

HELP.......I'VE GOT A BINKI ADDICT!

Okay so I was one of those moms who made to comment......my daughter won't have a binki by the time she's 3.......well in two months she will be 3 and I'm in trouble. How do you say no to a face like this? She is so in love with her binki! And the answer is yes I've tried cutting the tip off, cutting cold turkey, only allowing her to have them at nap or bedtime, telling her they have to stay in her bed or in the car seat and all the other suggestions I have heard. But somehow she finds it goes into her room and shuts the door so I won't see her. AHHH......I don't know how to get rid of it. Any new suggestions. Somedays I feel like there are worse battles to fight so I just give in and say fine you win. However with her birthday approaching I have got to take care of this one.
HELP!

Favorite recipe of the week

For those who know me you know I love to cook! I am always trying new recipes and looking for new ideas. So I have decided that once a week I will try post my new favorite recipe for that week. I hope you enjoy! So heres this weeks:
Yummy Baked Sandwiches
1 bag Hawaiian King rolls
swiss cheese
ham
Cut the rolls in half and place sliced ham and cheese in them. Place in a 9x13 pan. Melt 1 cube butter and add 2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce and 1/4 tsp. garlic salt. Pour on top of rolls and sprinkle the tops with black poppy seeds. Bake at 350 until they are hot and bubbly! So yummy! I just made them on Monday night and we devoured them. I wish I had a picture. Sorry maybe next time. Enjoy! Recipe compliments of Georgia.

FHE Baby!

Okay so I don't know about you but, in my house we struggle with trying to capture our childrens attention during family home evening. I found this book a while back at Deseret Book and it rocks! I let my kids each pick a picture out of the back and then we read the story that corresponds to it. They are short sweet and to the point. Then play a quick little game and have a treat and you're good to go. I gave one of these away at a Books+Chocolates=Happiness Night.........and the result was great the friend that got it says she uses it everyweek and her kids love it. Its an inexpensive fix if you're like me and have kids with short attention spans.

Happy Halloween!

My girls couldn't wait for Halloween this year. Olivia was counting down the days, and Isabella kept telling everyone she saw that she was going to be the pink butterfly......they had a blast! Isabella was saying all day that she was going to fly away......so cute! And Ezra of course was a cute litte puppy dog.
