Looking for.....
So when I was pregnant with Ezra I was always craving to go to this restaurant, when we finally got around to it they were shut down. AHH! I was so mad. And I haven't gotten over it since. They were a locally owned restaurant (Cabin Fever Cafe) and I loved two things from there. They made the best Oatmeal Cake and Chicken Wellington. They were homemade and dang good. Ever since then I have been on the hunt for recipes that would come close to theirs. I have an Oatmeal Cake recipe that is close but not quite the same. So if any of you have ever made these and have a good recipe would you mind sharing?

Daddy Daughter Date....

Jake called on Thursday while he was working and asked if he could take the girls out on a date. He had been feeling sad that he had been working so much last week and didn't get to spend a lot of time with them. When I told the girls they were sooooo excited. He came home from work and I had them fed and ready and they left on their date. When they got home Isabella came running into our room and was totally giggling and said that the pig was soooooo funny. She was so happy, it was so cute. Olivia was shinning as well. They had a great time! Jake took them out to ice cream and then to Bedtime Stories. They love their dad and are happy to be with him. I am so lucky to have a husband that is in love with his little girls and wants to spend that one on one time with them that is invaluable. Heres a quick pic that I took on their way out the door. Not the best picture but Im sure they will love to look at it someday. Thanks Jake! I also had a great time at home being with Ezra catching up on alone time with him and cleaning.

9 months ago today....

My sweet little boy was born nine months ago today on Friday June 13, 2008. He has brought so much joy and happiness into our home. He is now crawling, pulling himself up and being crazy as ever. He loves to eat, give his mom kisses and snuggles. He loves his sisters and he giggles when he sees them. He says dada although I prefer to think he doesn't really know what he is saying. He is in the 6% on weight and 45% on height. We love him to pieces and are happy to have him in our home. I got this picture of him today, he was crying while I was trying to hurry and get the girls ready for the day, as soon as I got done this is what I found, looks comfortable.
This morning was quite the morning but I have a quick story to share. Olivia had a recipe exchange day at school. They were to pick out their favorite food and bring it and the recipe to share with their class. Since I have been in bread mode she of course picked out cinnamon rolls. For the last two days I have tried to get her to change her mind, however she would not. I was rushing all morning to make these and was late on getting her to school. Luckily my friend called and happened to ask if I would like her to pick Olivia up.....which saved my bacon since Ezra was upstairs asleep and I was running late. I was complaining to my friend about what a bad morning it had been when she came to pick Olivia up to take her and her cinnamon rolls to school and feeling sorry for myself. Well about 5 minutes later my friend called and said I have something to tell you.....she said it made her cry......she was walking Olivia into school and helping her with her cinnamon rolls and when they got to the doors of the school Olivia looked at her and smiled and said my class is going to love these....my mom is the best cook ever.......these are so good, and they are just going to love these. My friend told me that she was so proud of these and was so excited to take them to her class. It made my attitude change about the day. It was well worth the time to make what she wanted because she appreciated it, I was glad I didn't just make something else to make it easier on me. Olivia is such a sweet tenderhearted girl and I love how she is so sweet to me!

Close Call.....

So Ezra has been crawling for a couple weeks now. He is a lot faster than I thought he was. He was in my room far from the stairs, so I thought I had enough time to go start a load of laundry (it seems like I'm always doing laundry). All of the sudden I could hear him crying. So I ran down the hall and saw him halfway down the stairs!!!!!!!!! Luckily he had only gone down about four stairs and was stuck somehow so I quickly ran and got him! He was fine, Im sure he was just trying to figure out what just happened. As you can see it would have been a long way down. I have a lot of stairs in my house so I guess its time I figured out how to talk my husband into putting gates up everywhere. He is always opposed because he doesn't want the paint or banisters to get banged up, well I would rather that than my son. He has seriously turned into a little speed demond overnight.....hes so crazy unlike my girls, I guess this is what boys are suppose to be like.
