Learning from others Trials.....

These past couple of weeks have really got me thinking and pondering.....I have had a couple of friends who are really struggling....not due to the economy, that is the least of their worries. I am grateful to be a part of their life and learn and watch them grow, and in return I have learned and am growing and trying to make sure that I don't take anything for granted.....because tomorrow everything can change.

Ice Cream

Our girls needed a little treat tonite so we went through A&W drive thru and got them some root beer freezes......when I handed Isabella hers she said "whats this ( she tastes it).....this makes me happy. " We started giggling. She has been saying the cutest things lately. Then a few minutes later Ezra kept growling at Olivia so she would keep feeding him, she couldn't keep up with him and we started giggling again and Isabella said "he cwacks me up"....yeah her r's sound like w's. I wish we could have an instant recorder that would record whenever we wanted it to so we wouldn't forget all the cute little things kids say and do!

Moab

We went to Moab last weekend with some of our camping friends. I have never been and I quickly learned that I am not an adrenaline junky! We went on a few expert trails and I was a little nervous. The last trail we went on was a pretty nice and fun trail to go on as a family. We hiked a little ways and went to these amazing arches. They were breathtaking. At the same time they made me sick to my stomach as I looked over the edges. After being on the top of the arches, we drove and went and looked from the bottom up. It was amazing, there were people standing up top and it was amazing looking up at them, they looked tiny. Growing up we went to Lake Powell during the summers. It reminded me alot of what Lake Powell looked like but, without water. Heres a few photos of our fun filled weekend filled with rain and hail, that we were soooo not prepared for, at one point Jake looked at my face with all of rain dripping off of it and began laughing. Although we froze most of the weekend we still had fun. By the way, that is Ezra hiding in a blanket with me holding him, no I am not pregnant and no I am not breastfeeding. We had a cute little grandpa ask to take our family picture and when he got finished he asked me these questions, and once I said no he asked if he could please see my little baby....he was so cute, he told us that God created two of the greatest gifts ever, trees and little girls.

Samantha

This is Samantha. She has babysat for me since Olivia was a baby. My kids love her, she is so sweet to them. She is graduating from high school this year and we are kind of sad. She will still be close by we hope, but I'm sure her new found freedom at college life will find her super busy. Here are a few pictures of her I thought I would share. We love you Sam!
