I love where I live but, I hate the fact we have no Target. We have been asked by a couple of neighbors to be on their packaging. Olivia is now on Target shelves, I am on trampoline boxes in Texas and Arizona.....thankfully not here, she has even been on Ifrog packaging in Radio Shack! So if you see her on your shelf let me know! I think its kind of fun.Friday, August 28, 2009

A Lovely Mess....

This is what I was lucky enough to wake up to yesterday morning. We had a serious rain storm Sunday night...and unfortunately our neighbors retaining wall blew out behind us and all of the water found its way to our window and into our basement. SO this is what I was able to clean up for several hours yesterday. Not to mention my husband and neighbor dumped at least 225 buckets just from our sports court. My friend was shocked that I wasn't in tears.....I would just rather this than something happen to my kids. We have had a flood like this happen to us a couple of times before. So I am in good practice at cleaning up! We have been in the process of finishing our basement so I am just grateful it happened now and not when it was completely finished.

First Day of School

So I seriously feel like my life is flashing right before my eyes. I can't believe how quickly the last 6 years have gone by. Olivia was all ready for her first day of school, I wasn't. Although last night she did tell me that she wished she didn't have to grow up and that she could just stay in Kindergarten, and that way she could be home with me but still get to go to school. On Tuesday I took her and Isabella out one last time just us girls. We went and got manicures and pedicures, went to Chilis for lunch (their pick), and then I gave each of them five dollars to buy a prize at the store. We had a great time together and it was fun being able to talk to them without a screaming baby at lunch. I am so proud of her and I know that she will do well and be a great friend in her class. It was hard for me not to cry (thank you hormones) but, I did wait until she was gone so she wouldn't see me upset. Isabella also woke up in tears missing her best friend already. We are going to miss her during the day but, we are so excited to hear at the end of each day her new adventures.

Summer 2009
So since 99.9% of this summer I have been nauseated, and been told my Olivia that she just knows I have the swine flu, I was begining to feel like I hadn't done much with my kids I decided to look through my camera....and now I'm not feeling like such a loser. Warning there are a bunch of photos! And I mean a bunch! This is a recap of most of the fun things we were able to do. Minus a camping trip, rhino rides, multiple boxes of popsicles, lots of hot dogs and marshmellows, five bee stings in 2 days, running through sprinklers, a trip to the dinasour museum, a fun time at the movie up, and lunch with friends here are a bunch of my favorite pictures of what we did!

Isabella 3 1/2 years old and starting pre-school
Olivia, her mom's lifesaver, now 6 and starting the first grade
Fun at the Park
Loving the slide
Deciding wether or not this is the piece of bark he should eat
Loving his big sister for taking him down the slide
Catching a fish for the first time
Waiting patiently for her turn
Doing one of her infamous belly flops
These girls turned into fish themselves this summer
Loving being buried in the sand
Showing off one of her treasures
Watching dolphins from the beach
It was at the end of this pier that we saw a man catch a shark, and another catch a sting ray, and yet my brother, cousin, and husband still surfed near that pier everyday for a week

Two lines.....what does it mean?
It all started with WOW I'm so tired, I'm really emotional and very nauseated.
Surely I'm not pregnant I told myself.....I'll just take this extra test I've had laying around since I was trying with Ezra and jump in the shower......then as I'm in the shower my heart is pounding and I'm telling myself there is no way (but truly knowing deep inside what the real truth is).
I get out and sure enough theres one line, then two. NO WAY! I tell myself. Ezra isn't even one yet and he isn't even walking.
I get in the car and go for a ride to clear my head and leave the madhouse behind and as I'm getting into the car my husband says "your that emotional about something that your really leaving?"
"Yes" I tell him.
After an honest prayer I realize that my plan is not always The Plan. You see the two months leading up to this I was constantly thinking I could be done with three.....my body is a few pounds away from being back, I'm feeling like I'm sort of in control of everything....yeah I really feel good with three and content. But, I guess this little one is telling me differently.
I come home and tell Jake we need to go get the kids ready for church so we won't be late. He comes into the bathroom and says "what's this?"
"What do you mean what's this?"
"Are you checking for ovulation?"
"NO"
"Well what does it mean?"
"What do you think it means? It has two lines."
"Really?" and he begins to laugh.....and I begin to cry.
"There's no way!" he says.
"Well obviously there is, because I am." I state quietly.
We have recently just started telling our family and friends. I am almost sixteen weeks. We wanted to wait a while due to past experiences with miscarriages, and due to the fact I was having problems with my placenta being torn and irritated. Things are starting to look better now and we are very excited. I know I will be very very very very busy. But, I also know that I am very blessed. As I have gone into the doctors appointments and had ultrasounds the crazy thing is is that none of my dates match with the ultrasound dates.....just another reason for me to feel blessed enough to know that this sweet little spirit needs to come into our home at this time. I know things happen for a reason and although I am feeling very overwhelmed and inadequate I am very lucky and blessed to know that whatever his plan is will happen regaurdless of what I think. I can't wait to meet this new little one and have him or her in our home......January seems so close but yet so far away.

Ezra's 1 year pictures

I can't believe my baby is one! He is such a little stud! He started walking a week after his birthday and now thinks he can go an do whatever he wants. He's not much of a talker but he has learned from his sisters that if he screams he gets whatever he wants. His stats show that he is tall and skinny...like his sisters. He loves being outside and loves real food. We love him to pieces! I know this post is a little late but life has been crazy lately....so stay tuned.....
